Sorry it has been so long. Now that I am dealing with almost terrible two's and ongoing terrible three's - I hardly get a chance to brush my hair.
We started off full speed ahead with LIVING but quickly realized that Mikey may not be all that ready. He is recovering from viral pneumonitis ( i think that is how you spell it). I figured clean scans means full speed ahead. Michael's real issue is trying to build an immune system because even before cancer he really wasn't exposed to much. We kept him at home most of the first nine months of his life because of RSV and other preemie issues. Then we kept him in a "bubble" because of his NB treatments.
He is feeling 100% better after numerous breathing treatments and meds. And is back to bullying his older bro.
The other day it hit me that next month is his 2nd birthday. I can't believe how much he has been through and he is barely going to be 2!! We are very blessed and sooo thankful. As I celebrate his birthday it is also very hard to not forget the friends we lost. Each day is a real gift.

You are going to continue to have your hands full (and unbrushed hair) for quite a while. . .maybe sixteen or seventeen more years.
My name is Sizah , I belong to The Church of the living God , Fairfax county -Northern VA . I heard the story of Michael early last year . I adopted Michael spiritualy right away , with members of our Church prayer line we prayed every morning and believed that Michael will be completely healed . We did this continuously and up to today Michaels picture sits on my desk at work . I continue praying for him and here is what I believe . Michael will someday soon walk completely cancer free, I mean free. And Michael will grow up to be a fine young men who will love and serve God . Many will find Christ through Michael . Your whole family will receive Salvation through Michael.
You ask yourself -why did Michael have to go through so much at such a young age . Rather ask why did God decide to keep Michael -when so many do not make it with cancer- I want to assure you today that God has a plan for that little Guy .
Open your mind and your heart and allow God to do his work for years to come through Michael.
Yes the Doctors did their part , but remember to give glory to whom its worth and that is God .
Michael's mom --I remember a time that I went to to your relatives store here in Culpeper to get a report on Michael --that time I was told that you were heavily distressed --Sister , I prayed and prayed for God to comfort you and now my prayer for you is that you will find God and serve him- just as he has blessed you by restoring your sons life.
May he continue to Bless you and your family . I will forever bring you , your family and Michael before the throne of Grace.
Maybe someday we will meet -God willing
